Abstract

Micrographs of match paired ethanol-fed rats were compared with micrographs of controls to quantitate changes within organelles of hepatocytes. The point counting method and a digital planimeter using SigmaScan/Image software were used for the analysis. Calculations were done using the Excel v. 4.0 and the Optimas image analysis software.
