What About Copyright?
Depositing a published article in ScholarWorks@UTEP is generally permitted under your author rights. For information on your publisher's self-archiving policy, consult Jisc Open Policy Finder.
We encourage usage of Creative Commons licensing options in place of traditional copyright when applicable. This can only be applied if a traditional copyright has not already been applied to your works and if the work hasn't appeared anywhere else. CC licenses work within copyright law to grant others specific permissions to use, share, and build upon your work while you retain authorship, reflecting the open access values that ScholarWorks@UTEP is built on.
If you have copyright concerns, please contact our ScholarWorks Administrator, Alyssa Pope or the OER Librarian, Tessy Torres.
