Abstract
Journey - Old Blood is a novel-length sequel manuscript to the entrance submission used to get into the UTEP MFA program. It follows three estranged family members in a grounded fantasy setting trying to get through life despite its hardships. The text was half progression toward commercial publication as well as proof of concept and personal challenge. In its state as a thesis, it's unfortunately unfit to be a contribution to the field. That will not be true in the future however as other publication opportunities are currently pending.
