Abstract

In this paper, we provide a theoretical explanation for many aspects of interval and fuzzy uncertainty: Why boxes for multi-D uncertainty? What if we only know Hurwicz's optimism-pessimism parameter with interval uncertainty? Why swarms of agents are better than clouds? Which confidence set is the most robust? Why μ^p in fuzzy clustering? How do degrees of confidence change with time? What is a natural interpretation of Pythagorean and fuzzy degrees of confidence?
