Abstract
Ida Jones entered the U.S. illegally in 1914. She married, divorced, and held multiple jobs, including opening several businesses. She married Ray Jones, an American citizen, in 1939. In 1940 she and her husband were in El Paso visiting an uncle. They went into Juarez and Ida was detained at the border when they tried to return. Mrs. Zlabovsky helped her obtain legal entry to the U.S.
