Abstract
Esther Gottdinner lives in Mexico City with five children and her husband. She came to the border at Juarez to seek admittance to visit her American-born son and daughter and also to seek medical attention because she was sick. She was operated on in El Paso, Texas where the doctors did what they could do and recommended she go to New York for further treatment. In New York she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and ultimately ended up dying.
