Abstract
The War on Drugs has caused cartel related violence to increase, creating a challenge for socio-political stability in Mexico. Currently, the U.S. government focuses on law enforcement measures to interdict drugs in the cartel supply lines.The basics of supply-and-demand and system dynamics approach provided a conceptual framework to understand and capture the features of interdiction in illegal drug markets, and provided important insights to solve the drug violence problem.
