Abstract
Study into the world of thin films oxides is an expansive field with a variety of materials that have yet to be studied. Ba(FeTa)O, an off shoot of BaTiO, has been studied for its uses in solid state and bulk sensing capabilities. Creating thin films of BFTO can allow for new applications including the potential for on chip devices. The BFTO was deposited using pulsed laser deposition and was created on varied substrates, varied temperatures and varied oxygen pressures. The analysis of these films lead to a better understanding of BFTO and the potential roles it can play as a photodetector and a supercapacitor.
