THE PURPOSE OF THIS ARTICLE IS TO DESCRIBE AND APPLY THE SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS AND LEARNING PREFERENCES OF EACH OF THE 3 STAGES OF EXPERT DEVELOPMENT - BEGINNER, COMPETENT, AND EXPERT - TO STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING (SC) COACHING TO SUGGEST A MORE ROBUST AND EFFECTIVE CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION FOR SC COACHES. BASED ON OVER 4 DECADES OF EXPERT THEORY AND CURRENT SC RESEARCH, AUTHORS HIGHLIGHT LEARNING PREFERENCES AND COACHING RECOMMENDATIONS TO PRECIPITATE DEVELOPMENT OF EXPERT CHARACTERISTICS, EXPERIENCES, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE WITHIN THIS FIELD.
