Family moved to Oklahoma in 1902; started school at 4 years of age and later was mostly self-taught; met Quanah Parker while she was a child in Oklahoma. Moved to Oklahoma Panhandle in 1905; finished four years worth of high school and three years worth of college between 1909-12 at Goodwill Oklahoma Agricultural Co11ege, while she worked her way through school to support herself; first teaching experiences in the 1910's; teaching in E1 Paso, especially in the South El Paso area; started the first grade school library in E1 Paso in 1923; the Depression years; WWII years; her paintings recreation; her retirement years; donates much of her work to charitable causes; recollections of early El Paso
