(Retired Teacher) Born in Van Horn, Texas, in 1905; attended Brackenridge High School in San Antonio, Westmoreland Junior High College in San Antonio (now Trinity University), and Sul Ross Junior College (now Sul Ross University) in Alpine; attended the College of Mines (now UTEP) where she received her B.A. and master's degree; taught at Alamo School for 30 years.
