Biographical Synopsis of Interviewee

Monsignor of the Roman Catholic Church. Born in Socorro, New Mexico on December 30, 1887; his family moved to El Paso in 1900; largely self-educated; attended St. John's in San Antonio for his seminary training and was ordained in 1921; spent 5 years at St. Patrick's Cathedral during period of Ku Klux Klan wars in the 1920's; served as a chaplain during World War II; later responsible for building of St. Joseph's, Our Lady of the Valley, Blessed Sacrament, and Assumption churches in El Paso and the church in Dell City.
