Biographical Synopsis of Interviewee
Monsignor of the Roman Catholic Church. Born in Socorro, New Mexico on December 30, 1887; his family moved to El Paso in 1900; largely self-educated; attended St. John's in San Antonio for his seminary training and was ordained in 1921; spent 5 years at St. Patrick's Cathedral during period of Ku Klux Klan wars in the 1920's; served as a chaplain during World War II; later responsible for building of St. Joseph's, Our Lady of the Valley, Blessed Sacrament, and Assumption churches in El Paso and the church in Dell City.

Incidents of El Paso history, especially the period of Ku Klux Klan strength during the 1920's; career as a priest, including his experiences as a chaplain during World War II; building of churches in the El Paso area.
