Born in Mission, Texas, in 1910; was a boxer in his early years, traveled extensively throughout the United Stated, and also was a member of the Merchant Marine; joined the Army in 1942 and again before the Korea Conflick; retired in 1973. Mexican American Congressional Medal of Honor recipient honored by the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) in El Paso.
