Claude Benton Hudspeth was a newspaperman, rancher, lawyer, and representative from the 16th Congressional District of Texas. The papers consist chiefly of correspondence, but also include biographical information and financial records. Dates covered are 1919-1931. The papers help document Hudspeth’s livestock ranches, business enterprises, legal career in El Paso, Texas, and political activities.
