The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) was founded on July 29, 1958 by President Eisenhower as a response to the launch of Sputnik by the Soviet Union. Types of records include newspaper clippings, photographs, concept art, diagrams, government documents, data reports, press releases, promotional material, and books.
