Abstract
Hervey William Dietrich, M.D., was born on July 31, 1910. Dietrich was part of the internal medicine staff at Hotel Dieu Hospital and worked on the Medical Records Committee at the Hospital in 1951. The Hervey Williams Dietrich papers date from 1955 to 1968, bulk 1955-1956. The Correspondence series contains letters and copies of letters to and from Dietrich to members of the U.S. House of Representatives, Senate, and the President of the United States concerning patients and medical costs and bills. The Newspaper clippings and Minutes series consists of articles pertaining to the shortage of nurses, a nurses’ strike, and Providence Memorial Hospital.
