Effective Correctional Counseling: Supervisors Recommendations for Best Practices
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to document preliminary recommendations for correctional counseling best practices. Seven correctional counselor supervisors were interviewed and recommended correctional orientation, skills in diagnosis, self-care and other areas as important for effective correctional counseling.
