The relationship of teacher quality variables to technology integration in K–12 schools
Abstract
Teacher quality is a major element determining effective technology integration in the classroom. This study uses a national data set to determine the relationship between teacher quality variables and technology integration in the K–12 classroom. The Technology as Facilitator of Quality Education Model served as the theoretical framework for this study. This model incorporates five major constructs: students are at the center of their own learning; principles of good learning will guide the classroom activities; students will use informed information processing; content standards are tied to the curriculum; and democratic ideals are incorporated into the curriculum.
