Abstract
This article seeks to give visibility to the migrant nation, to those who emigrate seeking better living conditions and pay the price of abandoning their people, their culture, and the essential features of their identity. To migrate is to camouflage oneself to change from a life with restrictions, to a life of marginality. Reflecting on the concept of border in the 21st century, in light of the migratory phenomenon of Afro-descendants, makes dance and the body emerge as salvation, as the deepest recovery of identity. In the Afro-Cuban diaspora, body and dance become the new universal territory of migration to cope with the loss, not only of maternal land, but also of the right to their own culture.
