Abstract
Mary Rom and her three children were left destitute in Chihuahua, Mexico after her husband died. Mrs. Zlabovsky initially is trying to get the oldest two children placed with their grandparents in Baltimore. Then the grandparents decide they can't take them. Then Mrs. Zlabovsky, with the help of other branches of the National Council of Jewish Women, starts trying to track down other relatives who would be able to help the family financially. The work goes on for years. Mrs. Rom ends up marrying Mr. Dennis of Brenham, Texas and he was able to get them their non-quota visas.
