Abstract

The Goldman family was traveling from Los Angeles to their home in Memphis, Tennessee. They stopped in El Paso and the father and children crossed the border into Juarez. When they returned to El Paso they were stopped at the border. The children were able to prove they were U.S. citizens but Mr. Goldman had no proof of citizenship and was not allowed to cross. He said he arrived in the U.S. in 1900. Mrs. Zlabovsky was asked to help investigate his claim.
