Abstract
Abe Borenstein approached Mrs. Zlabovsky saying he was very much in love with Pola Gershbein and wanted to marry her. Mrs. Zlabovsky witnessed the marriage in Ciudad Juarez, Abe said the marriage wouldn't be consummated until they could have a Jewish ceremony. He immediately left Juarez for Silver City, NM. When his mother heard about the marriage she was furious and tried to block Pola's entry into the U. S. Pola eventually ended up in New York with her sister but never saw her husband again.
