Frontera Land Alliance

Logo and website designed for a land trust. Among other things, The Frontera Land Alliance helps save local arroyos (dry creek beds or gulches that temporarily fill with water seasonally after heavy rains) from development. The poster downloadable here is one of many I designed in different colors for 'Graphic Content: Art of the New Music Poster'. The poster was hand stenciled and spray painted for an exhibit at the Stanlee and Gerald Rubin Center for the Visual Arts. The traveling exhibition was curated by Dirk Fowler, Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at Texas Tech University School of Art and contained more than 100 posters by 25 different artists highlighting the growing importance of the rock poster in contemporary art.

I designed the poster 'One-Third of the Earth’s Surface Has Been Affected by Desertification' which received the Honorable Mention Distinction in the 2006 Ninth International Biennial of the Poster in Mexico City. I traveled to the Museo Franz Mayer in Mexico City where the poster was on display from October 30, 2006–February 4, 2007.

Save El Paso's Arroyos

I designed the poster 'Save El Paso’s Arroyos: There are Over 1,000 Reasons Why We Should'. Copies of the poster were sold at the Hal Marcus Gallery’s 'Save the Arroyos' exhibit. This grassroots art show ran from July 27 and was sponsored by the Frontera Land Alliance to raise awareness of the importance of keeping El Paso’s arroyos free from development.
