Rational estimation of construction impact on pavement performance

Brett Timothy Haggerty, University of Texas at El Paso

Abstract

Constructing a pavement that will perform well throughout its expected design life is the main goal of any highway agency. Hence, it becomes necessary to develop a process that reflects the effect of construction on the life of a pavement. This process, in practice, can show the impact that construction quality has on, how a pavement performs.
