Abstract
In her compelling memoir, Carla E. Arellano addresses issues surrounding abortion and the numerous influences that lead women in the Mexican-American culture to make this choice. Sonogram in Medias Res is a collection of creative nonfiction stories that are personal reflections. These stories come together to show the ebb and flow of memory, culture, and the personal narrative.
