Abstract

Eve Ball (1890-1984), a well known historian and authority on Apaches, lived in Ruidoso, New Mexico, near the Mescalero Apache Indian Reservation. She wrote a number of books about the Apaches and the Southwest and was honored by the U.S. Senate in 1984 for her life's work. The collection consists of photographs, business and financial records, newspaper clippings, and a transcript of John S. Chisum’s diary.
